Reading Comprehension – Fill in the Gaps (Gerunds)

Read the text below and fill in the gaps with the correct form of the verb in brackets. Remember to use the gerund (verb + -ing).

Last weekend, I went to the amusement park with my friends. We all love (1) (ride) roller coasters, so that was the first thing we did. (2) (scream) during the ride was so much fun, even though it was a bit scary!

After that, we tried (3) (eat) cotton candy. It was so sweet! My friend Sarah enjoys (4) (take) photos, so she brought her camera. She spent a lot of time (5) (take) pictures of all the exciting rides and funny moments.

Later, we took a break and sat down for a while. I suggested (6) (go) to the haunted house next, but some of my friends didn’t like the idea of (7) (be) scared. We finally decided on (8) (play) games and trying to win prizes.
