In this unit you will:

  • talk about refugees and education
  • read an article about teenage refugee's story
  • revise and practise indirect speech & past simple (regular/irregular verbs)
  • watch a video about an education advocate
  • write an email
Unit 3 - Renaissance arts & artists

In this unit you will:

  • read, listen and talk about Renaissance arts & artists
  • learn and practise vocabulary related to art
  • revise and practise passive voice
  • present a Renaissance artist or work of art

 

Unit 5: Addictions

In this unit you will:

  • speak, listen to, read about addictions
  • learn and practise some useful vocabulary related to addictions
  • practise using inversion
  • write a solutions to a problem essay about addictions
Unit 4 - Learning to fly

This unit is about the pursuit of freedom and non-conformity as expressed in music, literature and movies.

More specifically, you will:

  • listen to a song ("Blackbird" by the Beatles) and discuss its meaning
  • read an extract from Richard Bach's "Jonathan Livingston Seagull" and talk about it
  • write an ending to a story
  • watch extracts from the movie "Billie Elliot" and compare it to Jonathan Livingston's story

 

Christmas!

Here you can:

  • listen to a Christmas song and do an online activity
  • watch a video about a historic event and do an online quiz
  • play a Christmas trivia quiz
  • upload your Christmas wishes/photos/videos on a virtual Christmas wall (padlet)
